Bringing ’88 Back

I was always told, “Ask and you shall receive” and it seems that is exactly what happened this time around. For all you “sneakerheads” that have been complaining about the Jumpman being on the heel of classic Jordan’s like the Retro 3 instead of it being the Nike Air, it appears that Jordan Brand has listened for once. In spring 2013, the White/Cement Retro 3 will be released yet again, but this time with more of an original look. Although the Retro 3 was just released in 2011 with the Jumpman on the heel, this spring they will be released with Nike Air on the heel (as well as on the insole and hang tang) and are being labeled as the Air Jordan III ‘88. Apparently Jordan Brand will jump at an opportunity to re-release any popular retro to make some more money. With these being re-released again so soon, a couple of questions come to mind: What will the quality be like and will there be a price increase?

2005 gave rise to the dawn of a new era in Louisville, Kentucky. Tired of being entranced by the endless drone of hyper-consumerism, a collective of people was formed to reject what was being spoon fed to us by popular culture. A crew of people who initially shared a love of sneakers evolved into a consortium of like-minded individuals passionate about using their talents to raise awareness of youth culture in Louisville.

Saving Our Style is a creative outlet for those who have more to offer the world than what has been previously accepted by the masses. Our goal is to nurture youth and street culture in a positive manner. ALL CREWS UNITED is our rallying cry….
