21C: The Hotel With No Ceiling
I have always gotten exceptional customer service anytime I visit the Hotel 21C downtown. Its more that just the artwork, friendly staff, and the dishes at proof it is the experience. I always wanted to know how the owners of Louisville’s best hotel do it. The constant praise and recognition cannot be ignored.
It was named the No. 1 hotel in the United States two years in a row by readers of Condé Nast magazine. The world travel publication Monocle named 21C the best hotel brand for 2012.
Besides the praise the expansion of the brand cannot be ignored as well. The Cincinnati 21C is located in the center of the action in downtown Cincinnati - adjacent to the Contemporary Arts Center and across the street from the Aronoff Center for the Arts. It is a 156-room boutique hotel, contemporary art museum and cultural civic center. I failed to mention that the owners recently opened a second museum hotel in Cincinnati. Power.
The expansion does not stop there. Lexington is next. There are plans in place for a $38 million transformation of downtown Lexington’s First National Bank building into a hotel will include three adjacent parcels of property.
Theres nothing more that I can say but the planned worked. These small sized, customer centric, museum hotels are the new thing and 21C is leading the way. The sky is the limit, for these hotels.
