The cool thing about being around a bunch of creatives is that I sometimes come across music fresh out the studio. Actual People frontman and ferocious MC C Prof dropped off a track they made to serve as the soundtrack to the impending Mayan Doomsday prophecy that’s supposed to take place today, 12/21/2012. Even though scholars now say that the Mayans weren’t predicting the end of the world but the end of an era, we’ll play along for amusement.
From C Prof:
Happy Doomsday! This track is dedicated to the times we’re living through. We may have more “end of the world” hype in the future, but none may be quite as significant, and exaggerated as this one. This song has been hanging in the balance for a long while now, and coming up on this date, we decided it was only right to put it together and release on 12-21-2012. In no way are we saying the world is ending. This song just covers some of the ways in which man is assisting in his own demise, and that we are at a turning point in human history, hopefully toward positive change and evolution. We hope you enjoy the song!
Let this song be your Doomsday soundtrack before Quetzacoatl returns to devour us all. Peep Actual People’s song “Doomsday” on their bandcamp page here, and if you haven’t heard their debut album Look Harder, do that as well! -ACU
