October 2012 / Quarter 3 Footwear Sales

October is the smallest month of the year for athletic footwear sales. So my recap will be short and to the point, it will be followed by the results for 2012 Quarter 3.

Average Selling Price: $63 per unit

Top Sellers: Jordan 9 “Kilroy”, Spizike,  Air Force 1 (white low), Timberland 10061, Nike Monarch IV, Lebron X, Free Run X, Free Run+, Air Max Speed Turf and Brooks Glycerin 10

Quarter 3

Average Selling Price: $58

Top Sellers: Jordan 4, Jordan 9 Raptor, Air Force 1 (White low), Nike FREE Run+, Monarch IV, Flex Run, Jordan 6&7 “Golden Moments” pack, Nike Kids Flex Trainer, and Men’s Dart 9.

Nike and Jordan had 69 of the top 100 top sellers.

Training was the top category for Quarter 3 with sales up 40%.

 

Basketball

B-ball is still on the rise but the category is primarily item driven with the top 25 styles representing 25% of the market.

Nike- 32.5%

Jordan- 60% (improved 25% from Q2)

Adidas- 4.7% (improved 20% from Q2)

Nike- 42.4%

Jordan- 10.6%

Adidas- 9.5%(

Reebok- 2.6%
