Artist Watch: Trinidad James
If you haven’t heard of him yet, then you must have been under a rock over the past month. Trinidad James has been sending the internet in a craze as of late. His video for the single ‘All Gold Everything’ has about a half million views on Youtube and was just put out a little over a month ago, and he already has a little under 14,000 twitter followers. I know when you see his jagged gold teeth, nappy afro and random clothing patterns and colors you probably think he is a clown and another gimmick rapper. The fact of the matter is, Trinidad James is all original. He is not the typical “trap” rapper from Atlanta that already has “dopeboy” money either, he works a regular 9 to 5. He has been getting so much buzz down South that he has already been in the studio with major artist like T.I. Keep your eye on this artist because I believe within this next year, he will be the next to blow up. Checkout his mixtape entitled ‘Don’t be S.A.F.E. (Sensitive As Fuck Everyday)’ and arrive at your own conclusion from there.
