September Footwear Sales

September is one of  the most interesting months when it comes to footwear sales, it begins with 2 of the largest weeks of the year but ends with one of the smallest weeks of the year. Industry insiders say that the last week of September 2012, the drastic drop in sales can be attributed directly to the Iphone 5 release.

Sales of sport footwear grew with a single digit increase in average selling price to $56.65. The top selling shoes of the period were: Jordan7(Raptor), Air Max Lebron low(Liverpool), Flex Run, Dart 9 and the Women’s Dual Fusion.  As expected Nike had 18 of the top 25 styles, Jordan Brand had 3 styles, Converse, Asics, Adidas and Brooks each had 1 style.

In Technical running Nike held a 53.5% share, Reebok declined, New Balance improved and Brooks moved into the #3 slot in Market Share.

Lightweight running Nike continued to dominate with 61.5% market share, to those not in the know lightweight running comprises 40% of all total running sales.

In conclusion NIKE wins again with its commanding 43% overall share of sport footwear.

The numbers are an ongoing post we do each week if you had of read them before you’d know that they came from sportsonesource. We also tweet them as retweets directly from the source.

      No need for the disrespect…

“Needmorecred”… Why do you post via a fake email and alias?

      C’mon son. Amateur hour!

Saving Our Style is a creative outlet for those who have more to offer the world than what has been previously accepted by the masses. Our goal is to nurture youth and street culture in a positive manner. ALL CREWS UNITED is our rallying cry….
