Anton’s top ten 9/9-9/15

Post courtesy of Anton aka Yella, follow @its_MrYella

This week, just the first three tracks are in order and the rest are just shuffled. The first track is a new joint coming from the self proclaimed “King Of The South”, T.I.  This made the top spot solely because, this is what I’ve been waiting a long time to see from T.I.  On this track he went back to his roots and made a hood/club song about getting the streets of Atlanta “popping” again. The diversity in his music is what I think makes him one of the best artist out in the last ten years . The next track is a good example of artists from different crews coming together to make an amazing track. You have Pusha T (G.O.O.D. Music), Raekwon (Wu Tang) and Joell Ortiz (Slaughterhouse) all on one track to offer their crazy lyrical metaphors and keep up with me punchlines. The third track comes from MellowHype, the combination of Odd Future’s own Left Brain and Hodgy Beats. MellowHype drops some witty punchlines over an upbeat instrumental and really displays why the whole Odd Future crew is on the steady rise. Listen to all ten tracks and drop us a comment or two.

Mission Statement

2005 gave rise to the dawn of a new era in Louisville, Kentucky. Tired of being entranced by the endless drone of hyper-consumerism, a collective of people was formed to reject what was being spoon fed to us by popular culture. A crew of people who initially shared a love of sneakers evolved into a consortium of like-minded individuals passionate about using their talents to raise awareness of youth culture in Louisville.

Saving Our Style is a creative outlet for those who have more to offer the world than what has been previously accepted by the masses. Our goal is to nurture youth and street culture in a positive manner. ALL CREWS UNITED is our rallying cry….
